Secure email reception
zertmail. relies on a multi-stage inspection pipeline for inbound mail flow: URL inspection with time-of-click checking (link tracking & blocking), content and heuristic analysis against phishing/drive-by downloads, and continuously updated signature engines for malware detection. In addition, backscatter filters reduce unnecessary NDRs, while spam trap feeds detect new waves early on and feed them into the evaluation logic. In the end, only what is supposed to happen happens: only messages classified as safe are delivered, while suspicious cases end up in quarantine – including regular user reports for controlled releases.

1. Link-Tracking & Blocking
All links in incoming and outgoing emails are automatically scanned for malware. Dangerous URLs are blocked before they can be opened. This protects you and your communication partners from infected sites.

Secure email delivery
With zertmail, all outgoing emails are automatically digitally signed. This ensures that messages have not been altered during transmission and that recipients can clearly verify their authenticity.
If necessary, emails can also be encrypted end-to-end – especially in the case of confidential or personal data. To do this, zertmail uses the international S/MIME standard, or alternatively OpenPGP or domain encryption for user-transparent encryption with thousands of participating domains.
If the recipient does not have their own certificate, a fallback procedure via a secure web portal (GINA) is used. This means that messages can still be delivered in encrypted form – the recipient only needs a mail client, internet access, and a browser, not their own certificate.
